Yesterday, Governor Asa Hutchinson signed important concealed carry fee reduction legislation, Senate Bill 17, into law.
Senate Bill 17, sponsored by Sen. Trent Garner and Rep. Jim Dotson, will reduce the fee for a license to carry a concealed handgun for self-defense. The current fee of $100 will be reduced to $50 for first-time applicants, and $25 for renewals and those over 65 years of age.
Thank you very much to NRA Members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their legislators in support of this legislation. Also, thank you to bill sponsors Sen. Trent Garner and Rep. Jim Dotson, as well as Governor Asa Hutchinson for signing this legislation.
