Yesterday, the Rhode Island General Assembly convened its 2018 legislative session. As in 2017, we will see gun control advocates pushing for policies to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding gun owners. Anti-gun groups are already collaborating with anti-gun legislators on a host of terrible bills which would do everything from restricting magazine capacity to adding additional restrictions on concealed carry. Governor Gina Raimondo has a proven record of hostility towards the Second Amendment, so it is imperative that NRA members work to block these bills in the Legislature. It is vital that gun owners and sportsmen across the Ocean State stay actively involved throughout 2018.
