Assembly Bill 118, a pro-gun bill which would allow members of the military and those who have received an honorable discharge between 18 and 20 years of age to obtain a permit to carry a concealed firearm, was second read by the Senate and is now eligible for a floor vote. Please contact your state Senator and urge them to support this bill!
As a reminder, Senate Bill 387, an anti-gun bill that would allow for ex parte orders to remove your Second Amendment rights - not because of a criminal conviction or mental adjudication, but based on third party allegations, is scheduled for a hearing in the Assembly Judiciary Committee on Friday, May 12. Please contact the Assembly Judiciary Committee members in opposition to this bill!

Sponsored by Senator Julia Ratti (D-13), the order in SB 387 lacks due process as firearms are required to be surrendered weeks before a hearing may take place. Further, this bill, unlike the current "Legal 2000 process," would do nothing to address those in need of mental health treatment or evaluation.
