On Monday, the Idaho House passed House Bill 93 by a 65-2 vote. This pro-carry legislation will now head to the Senate, where it has been referred to the State Affairs Committee for consideration.
Introduced by state Representative Don Cheatham (R-3B), HB 93 amends current law by expanding who may legally carry in Idaho without a permit, to also exempt active military members from the requirement that they be Idaho residents in order to carry a concealed handgun without a permit inside city limits. HB 93 would simply allow those who have been trained to defend our country to defend themselves in Idaho by exercising the same rights as residents.
