Your official NRA state association, the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs will once again be hosting its annual mixer in the cafeteria of the Vermont Statehouse starting at 5:00pm and ending at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 24. Snacks and beverages will be provided by the VTFSC, and there will be a cash bar.
This will be your opportunity to speak with your elected officials, government agency representatives, your NRA state lobbyist and other gun owners and sportsmen. Please remember to wear something orange.
Unsurprisingly, anti-gun groups and lawmakers have already teamed up to introduce S.6, anti-gun legislation that would impose “universal” background checks on private firearm transfers. Sponsored by state Senator Phil Baruth, S.6 will have no impact on public safety as criminals do not submit to background checks. It is simply another tool designed to make firearm ownership more complicated and expensive. Vermont is already one of the safest states in the country.
Please remember to contact your Senator and Representative and ask them to oppose S. 6. Also, be sure to attend the legislative mixer to stand in solidarity with your fellow gun owners.
