A pair of armed men entered the Jiffy Food Stop in Easton, Calif. and attempted to rob the store. The clerk on duty responded to the threat by retrieving a firearm and exchanging gunfire with the criminals, striking one. Upon meeting armed resistance, the thieves fled the store. However, the wounded robber did not get far, collapsing and dying just outside the store. The clerk was not harmed during the incident. (The Fresno Bee, Fresno, Calif. 06/01/16)
