Arthur Corral, along with five children, was at home in in Ontario, Calif. when an intruder forced his way inside the home. Corral retrieved a .45-caliber pistol and ordered the home invader not to move. When the intruder did not comply, Corral fired at the criminal three times, wounding the intruder severely. When authorities arrived, the home invader was rushed to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.
Corral did not appear to relish being forced to defend his home, telling a local media outlet, “It's something you don't encounter everyday. You don't expect to happen so it's kind of taken its toll.” (KTLA, Los Angeles, Calif. 03/15/16)
