The suit, filed in U.S. District Court on Friday, says Eoin Pryal was denied an application for a license to carry a handgun by Northborough police because he is not a U.S. citizen, but a permanent resident alien from the United Kingdom. State law says permanent residents may possess non-large capacity rifles and shotguns, but not handguns and some other weapons.
