Fairfax, Va.-- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Kevin Yoder for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Kansas' 3rd Congressional District this November.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF stated, “The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund supports Kevin Yoder because he is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in Kansas and across America.”
During his time as a state representative, Yoder supported many pro-gun measures, including voting to prohibit gun confiscation during states of emergency; voting six times for comprehensive Right-to-Carry reform to remove burdensome hurdles, restrictions and excessive fees; voting to prohibit local governments from enacting gun control; and voting for the proposed amendment to the state Constitution making the right to keep and bear arms a fundamental, individual right – which will appear on the general election ballot this November.
Rep. Yoder also voted twice for the state “Castle Doctrine” legislation to restore the right of self-defense to law-abiding citizens in their home or other property and voted for the state “Castle Doctrine” reform bill, strengthening home self-defense and correcting the Kansas Supreme Court’s Hendrix decision.
Yoder’s proven pro-gun record in the Kansas House of Representatives has earned him an “A” rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.
“On November 2nd, I urge all Kansas NRA Members and gun owners to vote Kevin Yoder for Congress," Cox concluded.
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
