Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Mike Lee for election to the U.S. Senate in Utah this November.
“We can count on Mike Lee to defend the Second Amendment freedoms of Utah's law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. “Mike’s commitment to preserving the Second Amendment has earned him an ‘AQ’ rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.”
Lee supports national right-to-carry reciprocity and efforts to reform the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He also opposes reenacting the Clinton gun and magazine ban and believes sportsmen should have access to federally-owned or administered lands for hunting, fishing, trapping and recreational shooting. As an attorney, Lee has worked to promote reasonable and sound wildlife management practices that would promote and preserve hunting opportunities.
“Mike Lee will be a strong voice in fighting ongoing efforts by anti-gun politicians to dismantle the Second Amendment,” Cox concluded. “We ask all Utah gun-owners and hunters to vote Mike Lee for U.S. Senate on November 2nd.”
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
