Thanks to the outstanding response of NRA members and fellow firearms owners on the Port of Portland bill, House Bill 2852 was removed from the schedule, and the Committee Chair has served notice that the bill probably will not go forward.
Our thanks to all the House Judiciary Committee members who stood by us, and especially to Representative Jeff Barker, the sponsor of the bill who asked the Committee chair to remove HB 2852 from the schedule.
The Legislative Offices to whom we sent our emails says it has never seen such a volume of email. There is still a long way to go before the session is over, so please keep checking http://www.nraila.org/ for updates on firearm issue taking place in the Oregon Legislature.
