S-3050 is considered hostile by the proponents and the sportsmen community, limiting legal recourse in the event there are violations of SJR 7, if approved by the voters. Please use the Take Action button below to tell your Senator to protect the interests of sportsmen by not adopting S-3050, which would alter the original language.
SJR7 as introduced, this legislation proposed a constitutional amendment that would ensure Iowans have a right to hunt, fish, and trap. In recent years, anti-hunting organizations across the nation have pushed their agenda to restrict or, in some instances, outright ban hunting, fishing, and trapping. Currently 24 states recognize the right to hunt and fish in their state constitutions.
