Colorado: Legislation Requiring Redundant State Permit to Sell Firearms Introduced

The Colorado General Assembly continues to follow the lead of anti-gun states like California by cherry picking ideas to go after law-abiding gun owners and firearm related businesses. This week, House Bill24- 1353, was introduced by Rep. Emily Sirota (D-HD 9), creating a state permitting system for federally regulated firearm license holders. The new permit adds one more layer of scrutiny and potentially state sanctioned harassment of these already highly regulated businesses. HB24-1353 adds additional conditions and requirements on the dealers, along with random inspections and severe penalties for violations. Please contact your Representative and urge them to OPPOSE HB24-1353!
