Today, January 11th, the North Carolina Legislature begins the 2023 legislative session. The General Assembly currently has a pro-gun majority as in years past, but anti-gun Governor Roy Cooper continues to threaten to veto any 2nd Amendment legislation. After the recent election and more pro-gun legislators being elected, there may be a path to advance the Second Amendment rights for North Carolinians this session. Gun owners and sportsmen throughout the state must stay actively involved to defend and expand their freedoms.
Your NRA will continue to fight to promote and protect your right to keep and bear arms and hunting heritage. Our members remain the most powerful political force in American history, and together, we will secure the Second Amendment for present and future generations.
