Update: The County Council had its first reading and voted 5 to 2 to repeal the county’s firearm discharge ordinance. Thanks to all the NRA members and Second Amendment supporters who attended this meeting. The second reading will be held at next month’s meeting, on February 8th. On January 11th, the County Council of Lake County will hold a vote on whether to repeal a restriction in the county’s firearm discharge ordinance. Back in 2019, Lake County increased the 200-foot minimum distance from residences for target shooting to 300 feet. NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are encouraged to attend this meeting.
