On Monday, the Arkansas Senate will take a vote to extract SB 484 from the Senate Judiciary Committee and bring it to the floor for a vote. It is important for you to contact your Senator and urge them to bring SB484 to the floor for a vote.
Senate Bill 484, sponsored by Senator Bob, would remove the ambiguous and confusing language in Arkansas’ current duty to retreat statute. As previously reported, this legislation will explicitly state that law-abiding citizens do not have the duty to retreat when exercising their right to self-defense.
This bill failed to pass out of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Now, it is important for your Senator to hear from you. Please contact your Senator and tell them that you want the Senate to bring this important self-defense legislation to the floor for a vote.
