Today, Governor Mike DeWine signed House Bill 86, legislation that fixes a drafting error passed in the previous legislative session.
House Bill 86 amends section 2923.11 of the Revised Code to clarify that certain firearms are not “dangerous ordnance.” Specifically, House Bill 86 corrects a drafting error made by the Legislative Services Commission in the final version of HB 228, which passed in late 2018. House Bill 86 includes an emergency clause, which means that it became effective immediately upon the Governor’s signature.
