Fairfax, Va. – On behalf of our six million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) today endorsed Richard Hudson for re-election to North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District.
“Richard Hudson is a true champion of our Second Amendment freedoms, said Chris W. Cox, NRA -PVF chairman. "He is leading the fight in Washington to ensure that nearly 20 million law-abiding Americans who carry a concealed firearm in their home state are able to legally carry concealed across state lines. Richard Hudson's landmark legislation is the strongest self-defense legislation ever to come before the U.S. Congress and NRA members across the country appreciate his leadership on this important issue."
Hudson has strongly opposed the Pelosi/Schumer/Bloomberg gun control agenda, including legislation that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms between life-long friends and many family members. In addition, he voted to strike down Obama-era regulations that stripped Social Security recipients of their Second Amendment rights without due process.
Hudson is being challenged by Frank McNeill, an NRA-PVF "D" rated candidate who supports the Bloomberg/Pelosi/Schumer gun control agenda.
“A vote for Frank McNeill is a vote to put Nancy Pelosi in control of Congress," continued Cox. “Richard Hudson is the only candidate in this race who will defend our Second Amendment rights. The NRA encourages all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen to vote Richard Hudson for Congress in November.”
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
