South Carolina: House Passes Constitutional/Permitless Carry Bill

South Carolina: House Passes Constitutional/Permitless Carry Bill

On Wednesday, the South Carolina House of Representatives passed H. 3930, the NRA-supported constitutional/permitless carry bill introduced by state Representative Mike Pitts (R-14), with a 64-46 vote.  H. 3930 will now go to the Senate for further consideration.  Please begin contacting your state Senator and urge them to support this critical reform that would bring South Carolina closer to truly recognizing our rights protected under the Second Amendment!  Click the “Take Action” button below to contact your state Senator!

H. 3930 would remove the requirement to obtain a concealed weapons permit (CWP) in order to lawfully carry a firearm.  H. 3930 would also make the current permitting system optional to allow citizens to obtain a CWP and take advantage of reciprocity agreements with other states.  Please be sure to thank those Representatives who supported your right to personal protection without unnecessary government mandated impediments.

Stay tuned to www.nraila.org and your email inbox for further updates on this bill.
