Kansas: Senate Committee Attempting to Pass Campus Anti-Gun Legislation

Tomorrow, the Senate Ways and Means Committee is scheduled to consider Senate Bill 235. It is imperative that you immediately contact members of the committee and strongly urge them to OPPOSE SB 235.

This legislation is just another attempt by anti-gun legislators to ram this anti-self-defense legislation through the legislative process. Senate Bill 235 seeks to make it unlawful for individuals to carry a firearm for self-defense into a state or municipal-owned medical care facility, including the Kansas University Hospital. This legislation goes further to prevent the lawful carry of a firearm into community health centers and state or municipal-owned adult care homes. This bill is a solution in search of a problem, and it places an arbitrary boundary on your right to self-defense.

Please immediately contact members of the Senate Ways and Means Committee and strongly urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 235.
