West Virginia: Range Protection Bill to be Heard in Senate Committee Tomorrow

Tomorrow, the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to hear Senate Bill 575. Sponsored by Senator Charles Trump, SB 575 protects sport shooting ranges from frivolous law suits and noise complaints. Please contact the Senate Judiciary Committee and urge them to SUPPORT SB 575.

SB 575 seeks to protect sport shooting ranges from legal actions which aim to restrict or prohibit range usage. In the past, anti-gun activists have used frivolous law suits and noise complaints to put legally operating sport shooting ranges out of business. If a range is in full compliance with the law, it should not be subjected to unreasonable court fees, hiatus or closure of operation.
