Today, state Representative Lynne DiSanto introduced House Bill 1072, legislation that would remove the requirement to obtain a permit in order to lawfully carry a firearm for self-defense. This important pro-self-defense legislation is a big step in allowing South Dakotans to be better able to defend themselves and their loved ones without having to obtain a government issued permit.
While HB 1072 hasn’t been referred to a committee and scheduled for a hearing yet, it is important for NRA members and Second Amendment supporters to contact their state Representatives and politely urge them to support House Bill 1072 when it comes up for a vote.
