During the 2016 legislative Session, the Missouri General Assembly passed an important pro-gun self-defense bill, Senate Bill 656. Among the numerous pro-gun reforms, SB 656 would have also permitted anyone legally allowed to possess a firearm to carry a firearm for self-defense without a permit. Unfortunately, Governor Nixon vetoed Senate Bill 656, despite overwhelming support from gun owners and Second Amendment advocates in Missouri.
The NRA has publicly condemned the veto of Senate Bill 656 by Governor Nixon, and now your legislators need to hear from YOU in order to override the veto. Please contact your state Senator and state Representative and urge them to support the override of Governor Nixon’s veto of Senate Bill 656.
