Tonight, June 7 at 5:00pm, the Loudoun Board of Supervisors is scheduled to consider an anti-gun resolution (Resolution #3) being promoted by a local affiliate of “Moms Demand Action,” a radical gun control organization funded by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. This gun control resolution would officially recognize June 2, 2016 as “National Gun Violence Awareness Day” in official county records.
Please attend this important meeting to express your opposition to Resolution #3. If you would like to speak at the meeting, please call the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at (703) 777-0200 and sign up to speak. Also, please contact the Board of Supervisors and politely urge them to oppose this misleading resolution.
Resolution #3 would not create harsher punishments for the criminals who abuse firearms or prevent further tragedies from occurring. Instead, Resolution #3 simply seeks to demonize firearms and those who own them, while providing a foot in the door to drum up support for an anti-gun political agenda in Loudoun. Don’t let these Bloomberg-funded, gun control groups force their way into your neighborhood! If you are unable to attend, please contact the Board of Supervisors by clicking the above “Take Action” button or at (703) 777-0115 and politely urge them to oppose Resolution #3.
