Alabama: Governor Bentley Signs Pro-Gun Legislation

Today, Governor Bentley signed pro-self-defense House Bill 98 into law. Sponsored by state Representative David Standridge (R-Hayden), HB 98 will allow qualified, law-abiding, retired military veterans to apply for and receive an Alabama concealed weapon license (CWL) without a fee.

Thank you to NRA members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted the Governor in support of this pro-gun measure. Also, special thanks to HB 98’s sponsor, state Representative David Stanridge and to Governor Bentley for signing HB 98 into law.
