Recently, the Nevada Board of Wildlife Commissioners released a meeting notice for Friday, May 13; however, the previously proposed hunting caliber size restrictions are not listed on the agenda for this meeting. Thank you to everyone who reached out to the Wildlife Commissioners in opposition to this arbitrary caliber size limit. As a result of your activism and comments, the commissioners did not follow through with the restrictions proposed at the last meeting.
The commissioners will likely move forward with some form of arbitrary caliber size restriction in a redrafted proposal at their meeting next month. Any arbitrary caliber size limit is unfounded and based on faulty science. It is important to fully understand the facts concerning traditional, big game hunting ammunition so Nevadans are not misled into adopting a restriction that could negatively impact the rich hunting heritage of Nevada.
