The Delaware Senate has decided to table Senate Bill 19 until March 8. As previously reported, SB 19, sponsored by state Senator Robert Marshall (D-3), would mandate that firearms confiscated by Delaware law enforcement be destroyed rather than be sold or auctioned, and only allows for firearms with “historical significance” to be donated to nonprofit organizations. If enacted, this bill would be a detriment, as it would prevent law enforcement from raising funds by selling these firearms to law-abiding gun owners and collectors.
