Florida: Pasco Tax Collector's Office to Accept New Concealed Weapons Permit Applications

Press Release - Pasco Tax Collector’s Office to Accept New Concealed Weapons Permit Applications

Beginning June 24, the Gulf Harbors branch of the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office will be able to accept applications for new concealed weapons permits.  During regular business hours customers will be able to visit the Gulf Harbors location (4720 U.S. Highway 19, New Port Richey 34652) to apply for a concealed weapons permit.  Fingerprints, photographs and related services will all be available to process new applications.

“As tax collector I am committed to improving customer service in every way I possibly can,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano.  “Processing concealed weapons permit applications is an important service that until recently was carried out by state-level workers.  With passage of legislation last year that allows the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to delegate that responsibility to county tax collectors, our office was one of 30 in Florida to request the ability to provide this service.  New applicants will be able to visit our office and quickly go through the steps to apply for a concealed weapons permit.  The application will be sent to Tallahassee for approval and issuance.”

Concealed Weapons Permit services are available at the Gulf Harbors branch of the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  This service is not available on Saturdays at this time.  Appointments for concealed weapons permit applications are not required.

For more information about any services provided by the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office please visit www.pascotaxes.com or contact the Tax Collector’s Call Center Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at (727) 847-8032, (813) 235-6076 or (352)-521-4338.
