This upcoming Tuesday, May 5, the Currituck County Board of Commissioners will meet to consider a use permit proposal to allow the Currituck Shooting Club Inc. to operate. The club has received the required professional engineering stamp of approval, and received planning department confirmation that the club has complied with the requirements to be granted the permit. However, county board of commissioners approval is still necessary. If the commissioners fail to approve the permit at this meeting, the club will not be eligible to reapply for another year. Your support to save this range is needed now more than ever.
Shooting ranges are an integral part of ensuring that law-abiding gun owners have a place to practice their skills and develop safe, responsible firearm handling practices. Shooting ranges should be accessible to everyone and protected for generations to come.
Please consider attending this meeting and please urge the Board of Commissioners to support the use permit for the Currituck Shooting Club Inc. Again, the meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 5, at 7:00 P.M. at:
Historic Court House
153 Courthouse Road
Currituck, NC 27929
If you are unable to attend, please contact the commissioners to voice your support at [email protected].
