On Wednesday, two pro-hunting bills passed in the House Agriculture and Forestry Committee. House Bill 322, sponsored by state Representative Mark Tuggle (R-81), would guarantee the right to hunt, fish and harvest wildlife in Alabama and Senate Bill 240, sponsored by state Senator Roger Bedford (D-6), would prohibit the use of drones to intentionally and knowingly harass a person who is legally hunting or fishing. Both of these bills could be voted on in the full House as early as next week.
Also, on Wednesday, Senate Bill 340, sponsored by state Senator Scott Beason (R-17), was passed unanimously in the Senate Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee. SB 340 is the Senate companion to HB 322 and could receive a vote on the Senate floor as early as next week.
