Yesterday, thanks to your calls and e-mails, the Missouri Senate removed the anti-gun language in Senate Bill 613 by a 22 to 9 vote. After SB 613 was amended with the adoption of language relating to stolen firearms reporting, offered by anti-gun state Senator Jamilah Nasheed (D-5), your NRA-ILA expressed its opposition to the bill. We want to thank the Missouri Senate and its leadership for listening to constituents’ views, and removing the anti-gun language. Given the removal of Sen. Nasheed’s amendment, NRA-ILA is neutral once again on Senate Bill 613. SB 613, in its current form, is expected to be read for its third time in the state Senate this week.
