Yesterday, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey (R) announced that West Virginia has entered into a full concealed handgun reciprocity agreement with Alabama. Therefore, West Virginia residents with a valid concealed handgun license (CHL) may now carry a concealed handgun for self-defense in the Cotton State.
This official agreement with Alabama marks the 30th state with which West Virginia CHL holders have full reciprocity and the sixth state added to their reciprocity list since this summer. Please note that carry license holders must comply with the laws in every state they are traveling.
