On Thursday, May 30, Governor Sam Brownback (R) approved a measure to protect the rights of taxpayers by ensuring that public funds are not used to lobby or otherwise advocate for gun control. This law, House Bill 2162, will take effect on July 1, 2013. The practice of using taxpayer dollars to fund gun control support and lobby against your Second Amendment rights must be stopped, and the NRA applauds Governor Brownback for signing this important reform into law.
