Recently, there have been several reports that the Missouri Department of Revenue is collecting and sharing personal documents from individuals receiving a concealed carry endorsement with third parties, including the federal government. This sharing and recordkeeping of private documents by the Department of Revenue is a serious violation of public trust, and the NRA will work in this legislative session to protect the privacy of individuals who seek a concealed carry endorsement.
House Bill 787, introduced by state Representative Todd Richardson (R-152), seeks to protect the privacy of gun owners by prohibiting the state Department of Revenue from sharing their personal information with the federal government or other agencies.
