Tomorrow, as previously reported by NRA-ILA here, your state Representative will be considering a bill to bring Right to Carry to Illinois, as ordered by the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Shepard v. Madigan. House Bill 1155, a bill sponsored by Representative Michael Madigan (D-22) will be among the legislation considered tomorrow, and Right to Carry amendments will most likely be offered to this shell bill. Anti-gun legislators like Rep. Mike Madigan have been trying to sabotage efforts to strengthen recognition of Second Amendment rights in Illinois, and can be expected to offer hostile amendments to House Bill 1155 which would contain weak and incredibly flawed carry provisions.
The details of the carry language are not available at this time, but it can be expected that anti-gun legislators will use this opportunity to make Right to Carry in Illinois the most restrictive in the nation. The time is now for TRUE Right to Carry in Illinois, and it is imperative that you call your state Representative TODAY. Tell him or her to not support any amendment unless it is one specifically supported by the NRA on HB 1155.
Don't let anti-gun politicians sabotage your right to self-defense with their deceptive amendments. Call and email your state Representative now and ask them to support only NRA-backed amendments for Right to Carry on HB 1155.
