This Saturday marks the 39th annual National Hunting and Fishing Day, which celebrates all things outdoors, including fish, wildlife and the conservation thereof. Historically, this day was a long time in the making, with sportsmen/outdoorsmen like President Teddy Roosevelt realizing the importance of not only enjoying activities like hunting and fishing, but also of ensuring the sustainability of wildlife and the habitats for these pastimes to continue.
