Reversing another judge’s decision, a Superior Court judge ruled today that a Sussex County merchant who was kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity may carry a handgun. Judge David Ironson, sitting in Morristown, said the attack by three Missouri men demonstrated Jeffrey Muller faces a “special danger to his life” and has “an urgent need for self-protection” that justifies carrying a gun.
