Yesterday, the Joint Judiciary Committee failed to act on Senate Bill 967 during its public hearing, essentially defeating this legislation for the 2011 legislative session.
SB 967 would have created a uniform statewide process for the issuance of a temporary state permit to carry a pistol or revolver. Currently, some local police departments are requesting additional information from applicants which is not required under
