Yesterday, February 22, the Virginia House of Delegates approved Senate Bill 757 by a 78 to 18 vote. Sponsored by state Senator Roscoe Reynolds (D-20), SB 757 would allow private property owners to discharge pneumatic guns on or within private property as long as it is conducted with reasonable care to prevent the projectile from crossing the property’s boundary. The NRA helped draft this legislation.
After passing in the state Senate earlier this month, by a 25 to 14 vote, SB 757 will now be sent to Governor Bob McDonnell for his consideration. Please e-mail Governor McDonnell and respectfully request he sign SB 757 into law.
