Tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., in Room 2B of the Legislative Office Building, the Joint Committee on Judiciary will be discussing concepts for legislation and then making decisions on whether or not to move forward with bills.
The Committee will discuss the issue of a ban on "high capacity" magazines for all citizens in Connecticut. While the text of the legislation is currently not written, this bill has the ability to make every law-abiding gun-owner in the state an instant criminal if they own a magazine arbitrarily deemed "high capacity."
Please don't let the state legislature continue to take away the rights of our citizens in the name of a flawed public safety concept. This legislation has the ability to impact handguns, long guns, and even .22 caliber plinking firearms.
Please contact the members of the Joint Judiciary Committee TODAY and respectfully urge them to oppose any bill designed to restrict the size of magazines and the rights of Connecticuters. To contact members of this committee, please click here.
