Steve March, a gun buyer at Game Masters sporting goods store in Quincy, believes there is one good thing about a restrictive gun control ordinance that took effect in Chicago last Monday. "It's got people talking about it again. It does kind of bring to light the absurdity of what they're trying to do up there," March said. On July 2, Chicago aldermen voted 45 0 for an ordinance that restricts the use, sale and transporting of handguns within the city. They instituted the restrictions only four days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Chicago's previous rules prohibiting handgun ownership were unconstitutional.
