Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is announcing its endorsement of Idaho Governor Butch Otter for re-election in the state’s Republican primary election on May 25th.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF stated, “The National Rifle Association supports Governor Otter because he is a champion and staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding Idaho gun owners.”
During his time as governor, Otter has consistently supported the rights of law-abiding gun owners and hunters. Most recently, he signed the following bills into law: preventing the confiscation of firearms and ammunition from law-abiding citizens during a state of emergency; protecting shooting ranges from junk lawsuits; and allowing people who lawfully possess firearms be able to leave them locked in their motor vehicles on business property.
An NRA life member, Otter’s support for the Second Amendment as the incumbent governor has earned him an “A+” rating and the endorsement from NRA-PVF.
“On May 25th, I ask every Idaho NRA member and gun owner to vote Butch Otter for Governor in the Republican primary election,” Cox urged.
