Yesterday, March 10, House File 2960, was defeated in the Crime Victims/Criminal Records Sub-Committee by a vote of 5-3.

Unfortunately, the “Pet Protective Order Bill”, House File 1396, cleared the sub-committee on a voice vote. Conviction of violating a protective order, based on unjustified interference with, for example a gerbil, would result in an automatic three-year ban on handgun possession.
