The number of hunting licenses sold in 12 states, including Minnesota, rose 3.5 percent last year after being relatively flat for several years. The other states surveyed were New York, New Jersey, Florida, North Carolina, Louisiana, Tennessee, Indiana, Kansas, Texas, Oregon and Utah. If that rise is true for the whole country, it would be the biggest increase in about 20 years.
