Mayor Mikey is despondent over a court ruling that struck down a law banning guns in Seattle parks. Mayor Mikey's predecessor stubbornly pushed the gun ban even after being advised that cities don't have the legal authority to pre empt state law. Mayor Mikey's answer? He wants the Legislature to change the law so that local governments can then decree that guns can are verboten in parks and wherever else guns might be deemed not needed.
