South Dakota: “Worker Protection” Legislation Headed to the House Floor!

Please Contact Your State Representative Today!

On Tuesday, February 16, South Dakota’s “Worker Protection” legislation (HB1169) passed in the House Local Government Committee with a vote of 11 to 1.  This important self-defense legislation will now head to the House floor.

House Bill 1169, sponsored by State Representative Dan Lederman (R-16), would prevent employers from firing employees or punishing those who lawfully store their guns in locked private vehicles, giving gun owners, hunters and Concealed Pistol License holders a place to store their firearms while at work. 

HB 1169 could be heard at any time, so please contact your State Representative and respectfully urge him or her to support HB 1169. Contact information can be found here.
