The public will finally get to have their say on carrying guns in Bartlett parks. The suburb's Board of Mayor and Aldermen will hold a public hearing on the matter at 7 tonight. The board will not vote on the resolution regarding guns in city parks until next month.

Today, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois struck down provisions of the Protect Illinois Communities Act (PICA) that prohibit “assault weapons” and “large-capacity magazines” in an NRA-supported case, Barnett v. Raoul.
