The National Rifle Association’s Institute for Legislative Action today endorsed Republican Bob McDonnell in Virginia's gubernatorial race. Chris Cox, executive director of the NRA group, said in a conference call with reporters that McDonnell has been “steadfast and forthright” in his support of Virginians’ gun rights during his tenure as that state’s attorney general.
