Young shooters who make a positive impact in their community, highlighting the skill and discipline it takes to be a responsible gun owner, are the gun industry's best chance to get the message out that the shooting sports are an important part of American life. In an effort to recognize exceptional young shooters and promote the positive image of shooting, the National Rifle Association recently chose one of its top Junior Members, Juliann Terry of Newcastle, Wyo., as the first-place winner of the 2007 Outstanding Achievement Youth Award.
