Consideration of a carry ban in Craven County buildings appears to be over. Craven County Sheriff Jerry Monette told the county commissioners Monday night that a ban would have little effect. “Those who would do it without a lawful permit are going to do it anyway,” he said. “An ordinance would not restrict them.”
